COLQUITT COUNTY RETIRED EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION
Retired educators in Colquitt County meet together each month for fellowship and support. Issues of interest to Georgia retired educators, current educators, and future educators provide a focus for the association.
One objective of the association is to provide support for future and current educators in the form of scholarships. In 2024, eight scholarships were awarded. Scholarship recipients included the following: Colquitt County High School Seniors...Chandler Beth Horne received the Sarah Mashburn Memorial ScholarshipandAshleyTamarAlmondreceivedtheDorothyRobertsEducationMemorialScholarship. Currenteducators...AmberLaneBoyd(Stringfellow Elementary School), Pamela Sims Canty (Cox Elementary School), Misty DeAnne Dove (Colquitt County High School), Brandy Azar Gay (Funston Elementary School), Leah Denise Hill (Sunset Elementary School), and Gracie Elizabeth Gay (Colquitt County High School) received CCREA Education Scholarships.
CCREA is a non-profit organization and must rely on memorial gifts and community support to finance these scholarships.
