We get to choose whether we receive that life or reject it. Christ be- came the Mediator, whereas Moses was a pre-figuring. Under the Old Covenant of law, sins could be covered for a season. Under the New Covenant of grace, sin can be forgiven forever.
Jesus said He came not to do away with the law, but to fulfill it. Under the New Cov- enant, sins can no longer be covered by sacrifices. Sin can only be addressed through the blood of Christ. There is no longer any room for benefits without relation- ship, because today that is fraudulent, hypocritical. Self- deception will lead many to hell, the Word is plain about that. But the Way, the Truth,
and the Life is still the Door. Jesus gives us the opportu- nity to receive “abundant life” that
is far superior to anything this world can offer, and heaven in the afterlife. Death, in all of its
forms, has been overcome. But the CHOICE remains. And what this verse is saying is that once we choose
