If we truly understood the depth and breadth and height of Christ's love for us we would operate very differ-
ently in relationship to others. If we have ever ex- perienced His grace and mercy and allowed the ex- perience to seed deeply into us then we should have a reverence for Him that disal- lows maltreatment of other people on every level.
Every person on earth is a person of deep interest to His heart. He has mapped out a plan to "prosper them and not to harm them, to give them hope and a future.” If we call ourselves His then we are part of that plan. We represent Him here, and that is a weighty responsibility. If I know that everywhere I go I am representing Jesus, then how am I doing? Am I hold- ing up to His standard or have I backslidden into my own wants and needs and flesh?
Finding that balance and maintaining it sometimes seems to be the hardest challenge I face. I have a de- sire to please God, above all else. I WANT to be in align-
face bad situations gener- ated by "those” people and rise above it requires the presence of the Holy Spirit at the forefront of our minds. If I keep my mind “stayed on” Christ then His Spirit within me will cover the circum- stance and my heart. He will provide the balance of being “in the world but not of it.” To remain “stayed” is to remain at the Table daily - to keep myself in a posture before Him that is open to His in- spection, receptive to His di- rection and to His correction. I must meet with Him early,
before the world intrudes into my thinking, and consecrate the day and myself to His governance. This is my daily bread. When I try to do today on yesterday's manna I dis- cover that it (and I) am rotten.
The darkness is growing and expanding exponentially. If I am going to be its antago- nist I must reach for Him with every breath. I cannot sit in that darkness because it will consume me. I must keep moving.

Many more are angry at Him - blaming Him for every bad thing they have ever gone through in life, and wanting Him to prove Himself to ob- tain their loyalty. Those people cannot be trusted to respond to me as He would when I extend my help, my hope, a kindness, my love. Those people are injured, and relationship with them is going to injure me. How do I reconcile the two?
