SPECIAL PURPOSE LOCAL OPTION SALES TAX (SPLOST)
(VOTE FOR ONE)
Shall a special one percent sales and use tax be imposed in Colquitt County for a period of time not to exceed 6 years
and for the raising of an estimated amount of $44,000,000 for the purpose of funding the following:
(1) For Colquitt County: Jail Construction and Justice Center Renovations, which shall be a Level 1 allocation; and the following: Construction and/or Renovations; Technology Upgrades for County Information Systems; Public Safety, Law Enforcement, and Public Works Equipment; Public Safety I Emergency Medical Services Vehicles and Equipment; Debt Payment on Jail and Justice Center Renovations; Improvements and Renovations to County Buildings and Grounds; Public Works Motorized Vehicles & Heavy Equipment;
(2) For the City of Moultrie: Engineering Department Equipment Upgrades; Public Safety Vehicles and Equipment; City Facility – Major Repairs/Upgrades; Drainage and Sewer Project Upgrades; Utility-Expansion I Economic Development Upgrades; Public Works Equipment Upgrades I Replacements;
(3) For the City of Norman Park: Public Safety Facilities, Vehicles, and Technology Equipment; Renovations to City Buildings and Facilities; Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant and Infrastructure Upgrades, including Land Purchases;
(4) For the City of Doerun: Improvements and Equipment for Streets I Roads; Improvements, Vehicles & Equipment for Public Safety Department; Renovation and Replacement of City Buildings; Improvements and Equipment for Parks & Recreation Department; Improvements and Equipment for Utility Department;
(5) For the City of Funston: Beautification; Parks & Recreation Improvements; Water I Well System Improvements;
(6) For the City of Berlin: Parks and Recreation Improvements and Equipment; Water System Upgrades and Expansion, including associated Equipment; Maintenance Department Equipment; Police Department Vehicles & Equipment; Building Improvements and Office Equipment; Fire Department Vehicles and Equipment;
(7) For the City of Ellenton: Water System Construction & Improvements, including associated Equipment;
Street, Sidewalk and Drainage Improvements; Acquisition of Various Vehicles and Equipment; Improvements and Renovations to City Buildings & Recreation Facilities; Construction of Community Activities Center and Public & Private LowIncome Housing Development; and other capital outlay projects consistent with the City of Ellenton's purposes;
(8) For the Colquitt County Hospital Authority: Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Building Improvements;
(9) For the Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority: Acquisition, Renovation, and Improvement of
Industrial and Commercial Facilities and any other capital outlay projects consistent with the Authority's purpose;
(10) For the Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority: Capital Outlay for Improvements to the Moultrie - Colquitt County Recreation Authority and any other capital outlay projects consistent with the Authority's purpose?
