    RADICAL LIVING By Abigail Wakefield
The Lord is "shaking ev- erything that can be shaken” not in order to punish us, but to bring us to the truth about the condition of our hearts. He is moving by His Spirit over all the earth in this sea- son to bring us individually to deep repentance about our sins. Yes He forgave us fully on Calvary, but sin separates us from His best for us, and we become a prey to the enemy of our souls when we choose to act in disobe- dience toward God's pre-
have to be willing to bring EVERY THOUGHT into cap- tivity to His Lordship. Without this understanding we con- tinue to live in bondage and wonder why He doesn't an- swer us, why He doesn't love us. We look at others who are obviously blessed and
we wonder why we don't qualify, but we do! Jesus qualified us on Calvary, and He simply wants to give us His MIND in all things. We have
understood His crucifixion and resurrection as The Door, but we have failed to realize that salvation is only the beginning of the journey. It is the moment our spirits become alive to His Spirit, but our minds and flesh have to be washed and renewed by His Word and His voice. If we never read and never listen, we will go to heaven when we die but we will live on a level here that fails to obtain the prize of abundant life.
It's kind of like eating grilled portobello mushrooms and calling it steak. There may be a small nuance of flavor but it is so minute that we are ultimately unsatisfied because we got filled up but on a lesser substance. We are filled at this present mo-
face... Questions/Comments?
but the flesh is weak.

cepts and statutes. In other words, we open ourselves up to damage and hurt and disaster when we choose anything that is rebellious. Often we don't even glance sideways at the truth as we blow by it, we are simply doing what we have always done. Some say “and getting what we've always got.” But the truth is that the stakes and the price are getting higher than we have pre- viously paid because of the growing darkness. Our Father is trying to show us our error in order to draw us back to His
protection and provision.
So many of us cry out for Him to change us or to change our circumstances or to provide for us and yet we lack, we continue in the same old addictions, and we never overcome our environ- ment. And we blame Him. But the truth is that we DO have a part in the change. We have to come to the place where we are willing to grow forward in Him. We
ment with lesser substance. He knows that most of us, when really faced with our- selves, will want to enter into a deeper level of holiness, because we discover in the uncovering that He feeds our soul and satisfies in a way that nothing and no one else on this earth can.
